Temperature

Have you ever noticed that both extreme cold and extreme heat produce the same anxious, angry and (to a certain degree) neurotic tendencies?

Movie Review- Stepbrothers

Do you know that feeling you have when you are laughing so hard, tears stream gently from the corners of your eyes and your stomach cramps? Perhaps you might even keel over from laughing too hard? The movie Stepbrothers will make you feel that way. It takes about 15 or so minutes to pick up, but once it does, it will leave you laughing until it hurts. The movie stars Will Ferrell and John C. Reilly as two 40-year-old men that live with their respective parents, Mary Steenburgen and Richard Jenkins. Once Steenburgen and Jenkins marry, they move in together with their sons. At first, Reilly and Ferrell do a very good job of acting like 12-year olds that hate each other, but once they make an alliance together, they have you laughing the entire movie. The movie is full of 20’s, 30’s and 40’s age-related humor, compounded with quick one-liners and angry parent comedy. The movie is funny on several different levels.
Be certain to watch the “one-line” outtakes, gag reel and deleted scenes, because those are also side-splittingly hilarious. Stepbrothers is a comedy feast that you can enjoy to watch with anyone in the family. There is no nudity, but there is some foul language. I recommend this film anytime you are feeling blue and need a good laugh. Although Ferrell is a “hit-and’ miss” comedian, he hits a home run in this film. John C. Reilly just continues to astonish me. Not only is he a terrific actor, he is a powerful and convincing comedian in his films as well. These two will make your Christmas Eve or those snowy Sundays very, very enjoyable. I highly recommend this film.

The Big 3

We do not need to bail out the big three auto companies and here is why...

1.) They make poor products
2.) Their CEO's are flying around in their own private jets
3.) Their unions drive up their wages and it is costing us more money
4.) Toyotas and Hondas are better products
5.) Will the money really make a difference?

Movie Review- Quarantine

I just saw a matinee showing of the new movie Quarantine. Although it has not received as much publicity as other movies, this movie still deserves respect from all of us. Let me explain a bit further.
I love the fact that no one has really"over hyped" this movie. Yeah sure, we see the advertisements etc, but we still don't have it crammed down our necks like other films.
Quarantine hits a new level of terror. It makes you ill, your stomach hurts, you feel nervous as you are terrified all at the same time. Quarantine is not your typical movie and I will not be a spoiler here, but I will say that it takes patience and a good understanding of what is actually happening for this movie to work. It works for people who are intelligent and creative enough to place themselves in positions like the ones these characters are in. Quarantine delivers a solid knock out punch for it gracious share of horrifying moments. It is scary on so many levels that I don't want to ruin it for any of you by writing anything more..... Just go see it......

Baseball Players

Baseball players make entirely too much money. Baseball is also a very slow sport to watch. I'll admit to cheer on the Cubs when they are playing and hoping that they win, but that is as far as it goes. Baseball is not the same as football. Football players should be paid more than baseball players, primarily because the toll that football takes on one's own body. Baseball players make too much money for such a boring sport...

p.s. Go cubs, (I still want you guys to win!). =)

McCain

I am voting for John McCain because he has more experience that Clinton or Obama.

My Foot

I have always had problems with my feet, specifically my ankles. the other night while playing a simple pickup game of basketball; I stepped back and made a pass to a teammate and when I did, I heard a snap in the arch of my foot. It felt as if someone was ripping open the arch of my foot. I believe that I have plantar fisciitis. For everyone that has never had this, I have sympathy. It is very painful and it will take some time to rehab.
